Here is the last nasty
step - Barrier Coat. The
15 had some minor
blistering in the Gel-Cot
so it was sanded and
then Interlux 2000 was
applied. Awful job.

And the bottom paint is applied! I used
non-ablative paint as the 15 will be dry
sailed. I didn't wan't to rub off all the
paint on the trailer! She looks SWEET!

Below is the maiden voyage. The 15,
soon to be The Swede, performed
absolutely perfect. It is a well handling,
very seaworthy craft. And it proved to
be very childproof with its high gunnels
and deep vee. It was worth every bit of
effort. Not only did I preserve a piece
of family history, but I kept a great boat
out of the landfill!. Long live The
Swede!
